Keeping It
short and simple
This is the week of short and simple posts starting with yesterday’s postcard style photo-poem.
Today I pay homage to those famous poets that have written “after the reading” poems. Here is my own “after” poem written for all of us unknown and lesser known poets.
After the Signing by Laura L. Hansen No stragglers. No interviewers trying to fit in one last question. Just a box of unsold books held under the arm. A loon slips off the tipped page and into the water.
Big to-do list this week, but if I get time I will try to find you some of those famous-poet poems after events. Or you can go down the rabbit hole and search some out yourself. If you find some, share them in the comments.
Hoping for a bit of rain tonight. My big maple is in distress. Dropping curled yellowed leaves like crazy. Drought-ravaged plus it was at the edge of the digging zone for the sewer line install. Send your good healthy tree vibes our way!

been there with this one. Never saw a loon though. My stuff tends to attract muskrats.
