Wild Mind
New Poem and New Collage
The Disarray of the Ordered Mind
By Laura L. Hansen
At times, my brain
is like a bowling ball
moving smoothly down
the lane in a straight line
until it hits the pins
and
then
everything
scatters.
Other times, it is moving
in a straight line because
it has fallen into a rattling
funk___the gutter.
I think I prefer the
sometimes wobbly,
sometimes straight,
line that leads to
disorder
when thoughts shatter
into chaos
that's where genius lives -
in the clammering moment
of the strike, ideas flying
pins toppling.

Oh Laura,
Yes,yes, yes!!! This is so refreshing. Love the comparison.
Thanks
P.
